Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike, sacks all his Special Advisers

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has sacked all his Special Advisers. According to a statement released today by his Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu, only the Special Adviser on Religious Affairs, Bishop Winston Iwo retained his post. Recall that Wike on June 23rd, sacked his entire cabinet.

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has said that he will be visiting Kaduna and Lagos state as part of his tour of various states in the country. He said this while addressing IPOB members gathered at his father's compound in Isiama Afara Ukwu, Umuahia, Abia state on Sunday. He proceeded to accuse certain media houses of printing lies about the group and also warned his followers to boycott the upcoming Anambra election and all other elections in the South-Eastern states. Kanu said: "Some media houses in Lagos don’t understand how powerful IPOB is. They sit down and write rubbish. So, I will go to Lagos to rattle them. I understand some people are worried. Igbo traders warn IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, to stay away from Lagos state

Igbo leaders and traders in Lagos have warned the director of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, not to come to Lagos state to stage any of his rallies. Kanu last month, disclosed his plans to come to Lagos . Speaking with Sunday Telegraph, Chief Chiemeka Ibeh of Alaba Amalgamated Traders Association, said the IPOB leader should leave Igbos in Lagos alone because his visit will create the impression that Igbos in Lagos are supporting Kanu and IPOB activities. “He should keep his Biafra in the East where our unemployed youths are following him all over the place, not knowing what they are dabbling into. Most of these youth do not understand what Biafra is about and what it has cost Igbo people. Since his actions led to the quit notice by the Arewa youths, I expected Kanu to have paid upfront all transport companies on the northern route to be conveying Igbo people who might be interested in coming back to the East, but he has not paid a kobo t...
